Gena Adams-Riley has been steeping in silence since 1996. For the past 15 years she has sat with and encouraged others in contemplative practices. Gena is known for her inspiring talks, group sessions, her program Mindful Classroom, and one-on-one mindfulness meditation with adults here in Richmond and beyond.
Gena works with others to begin a regular, ongoing sitting practice through mindful movement, exploration of the breath, and the practice of meditation. In both her group and one-on-one sessions, she brings poetry, knowledge, and her own experience on topics such as vulnerability, ego, and contemplative neuroscience to point the way toward living a mindful, happy life. “Let’s sit together,” says Gena, “Your amazing brain is ready and waiting."
