Marshie Boswell is always in motion. From an early age, she spent every minute of her day outside – camping, biking, swimming, hiking, and learning. Even as a child, she was aware of her father’s unhealthy habits and watched his downward spiral. Marshie lost her dad to intestinal cancer when she was 14 years old. Determined to keep moving, she found peace on the country paths of her family’s land. In college, Marshie ran competitively, earned a degree in exercise science, and continued to study and teach mind-body skills that have a profound impact on health. With 10 years of experience as a trainer and nutritionist, Marshie is now teaching her own daughter, Charlie, valuable lifelong lessons. “Every day is another chance to be better, she is a walking mirror of the things I say and do,” explains Marshie. Inspired to create a healthy foundation for all youth, Marshie now teaches kids yoga across the region. “Yoga and kids are a perfect match,” says Marshie, who uses music, games, and other tools to help children focus their minds and stretch their bodies. Using a system based on the classical study of yoga, Marshie inspire kids to keep moving and gives them tools to carry with them into adulthood.
