Tressa Breindel is a functional medicine practitioner and acupuncturist. She specializes in understanding and treating the root causes of health issues. She obtained her Masters in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) from Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, Colorado and is a nationally certified acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist. She combines 16 years of education and experience in Western and Oriental physiology and medical sciences, nutrition, mind-body therapies and stress management to support comprehensive healing in her patients.
Tressa was born in the Richmond area, and lived in Colorado from 1999-2014. In addition to her medical studies, she was a political science major, a certified massage therapist, competitive mountain and road runner.
She was motivated to figure out the underlying causes of health and illness in due to her diagnosis of Crohn's disease at 14. She has been an active member and served on boards of the Crohn's and Colitis Association of America (CCFA), promoting awareness of IBD and successful management of Inflammatory Bowel Disease through Functional and Oriental medicine.
